2018 Rewind:

This 2018 rewind will be focusing on the best Smartphones of 2018, games such as PUBG Mobile, Fortnite and Nokia / PUBG Memes.

The Smartphone Talk:

Triple Camera Setup:

Starting from the very beginning, if you folks can recall, Huawei P20 Pro was the very first Smartphone to flaunt a Leica triple camera setup. Quite interestingly, it wasn't just a gimmick and in fact, added fuel to the fire in the camera department. Most of the consumer electronics giants started rolling out similar camera modules and we' cannot deny the fact that some of them were actually quite impressive. Overall, triple camera setup was quite a remarkable innovation of 2018 and now we're left to see what Nokia is going to do with its five-camera setup this year.
We've nothing to talk about in this section other than PUBG, PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Battle Royale. Both of these games were a big success on PC while as PUBG Mobile dominating the Smartphone arena. Nowadays, PUBG Corp. is going very strict because of an increasing number of hackers attempting to use multiple cheating methods such as PUBG Radar Hack and Aimbots. We're hoping that PUBG Corp. figures out a way to make servers better, gaming lag free and more secure. Here goes the latest Anti-Cheating Policy of PUBG Corp.

Xiaomi's Exponential Sales:

The year 2018 was undoubtedly the golden era for Xiaomi with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro selling like hotdogs especially in the Asian countries such as India. Other than Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi released a number of new Smartphones in 2018 under its sub-brands Redmi and now, of course, Poco. Xiaomi Poco F1 is a midrange Smartphone offering flagships specifications at inexpensive pricing. As I recall JerryRigEverything calling it a super cheap, super powerful Smartphone during his durability test which Pocophone F1 actually survived. Let us see what's in the fate of Xiaomi for the year 2019.

Nokia's Heroic Comeback:

It came as a surprise to everyone when Nokia announced its comeback via HMD Global, the home of Nokia Phones. Initially, the comeback of Nokia didn't seem to get much hype except the indestructible Nokia Memes which we'll be covering in this "2018 rewind" at the end. However, Nokia released a wholesome lineup of Smartphones with decent build quality, decent specs, and decent pricing. The Smartphones by Nokia such as Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 6.1Nokia X6 and others turned put to be a fortune for Nokia. Adding to the already famed brand image of Nokia, such qualities turned out to be beneficial for the company and it is ready to dominate the Smartphone market again, but only if the right strategy is applied. With the flagship Nokia 9 yet to come out, anything is possible for Nokia.

Other than these, a few more achievements of 2018 in Smartphone segment were the motorized camera units in Oppo Find X and Vivo NEX Smartphones, Xiaomi's Blackshark gaming Smartphone and now the Asus ROG gaming Smartphone.

The Game talk:

We've nothing to talk about in this section other than PUBG, PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Battle Royale. Both of these games were a big success on PC while as PUBG Mobile dominating the Smartphone arena. Nowadays, PUBG Corp. is going very strict because of an increasing number of hackers attempting to use multiple cheating methods such as PUBG Radar Hack and Aimbots. We're hoping that PUBG Corp. figures out a way to make servers better, gaming lag free and more secure. Here goes the latest Anti-Cheating Policy of PUBG Corp.

"PUBG Mobile provides its players with a fun and engaging gaming experience. Unfortunately, there has been a rise in cheaters and hackers lately within our community. We have a firm
zero tolerance for this. We believe that these people ruin the gaming experience and hurt legit players through their unfair advantages.

These behaviors include, but not limited to, auto aiming, acceleration, recoil reduction, and any other methods of modifying the game or its data. Anyone who is found using cheats and jacks will be banned accordingly.

In order to combat these harmful users to our game, we have a call to action to our players! Whenever you send a cheater report in the game or send us an email to PUBGMOBILE_CS@tencentgames.com, our Security Team will treat it very seriously. We look into the matter internally and take the appropriate action".

It's Meme Time:

The year 2018 was a golden era for Memes as well. It started with a surge in Nokia Memes / Nokia 3310 indestructible Memes / Nokia Vs. iPhone Memes and ended with PUBG Memes crawling all over the internet especially on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Here's a Sneap peak at PUBG Memes and Nokia Memes of 2018 along with the latest ones.

PUBG Radar Hack:

No matter how sneaky they claim to be, they always get caught. Recently a number of pro players were banned by the company from participating in any of the global events for several years because they used PUBG radar hack, aimbot.

No matter how sneaky they claim to be, they always get caught. Recently a number of pro players were banned by the company from participating in any of the global events for several years because they used PUBG radar hack, aimbot.

So, What Exactly Is PUBG Radar Hack / Aimbot?

As the name suggests, PUBG aimbot tool will let you have absolute accuracy while shooting your enemies. The accuracy is so precise that the player won't be able to defend your assault.

Whereas, PUBG Radar hack lets you remain disguised while you sneak past your enemies and kill them instantly. That's not it. PUBG Radar hack has more to it than just staying unnoticed.

No matter how sneaky they claim to be, they always get caught. Recently a number of pro players were banned by the company from participating in any of the global events for several years because they used PUBG radar hack, aimbot.

Pocophone F1 by Xiaomi is so far the cheapest Smartphone housing a Snapdragon 845 chipset and liquid cooling technology. Pocophone F1 by Xiaomi manages to bring us all the premium features except the highly overrated wireless charging which is not even true wireless yet when we talk in terms of it's usability and efficiency.

Here are some of the reviews from certified buyers who recently purchased Zenfone 5Z from Flipkart:

A certified buyer"Anwesh Akkapolu" says

"To begin with it is an awesome phone. Just loving the way it looks. Awesome camera, very fast and snappy experience".

"Arshdeep Singh Jalal" says:

"Phone performance is great...
Display looks beautifully bright & colors are accurate...
Phone is snappy with no Lag...
Camera performance is also great with AI features...
Dual Speakers output is far better than other mobiles...
Best part is you can still use your old/new Micro SD cards if you want...
Go for it, if you want SD845 mobile & Sony Flagship camera (same in Mi 8 upcoming in India)
Best deal under 26999 with ICICI offer".

"Naga Bharat Chilamkuri" says:

"I am a great fan of ASUS for the past 5 years. The only drawback I felt for Asus not being a competitor is due to its pricing in India. People usually choose the budget phone with multi-features. This year ASUS not doing a single mistake at all. They started with Zenfone Max Pro M1 which is astonishing considering the price and features competing Redmi Note 5. Now, with a premium phone with all the features at 30k,thats simply amazing. I usually surf a lot of smartphones over the years. I am a big fan of LG followed by Samsung initially, but Samsung has taken over an edge over LG these days. Now I am using S9+,which is the best smartphone as of now. Coming to Zenfone 5Z, here are my ratings:

Display - 10/10
Beautiful colours and viewing angle is exceptional.

Rear Camera - 9/10 (Considering Low light inside my house)
Front Camera - 8/10 (Considering Low light inside my house)
Exterior conditions, its amazing. But in low light, a bit improvement is needed. While zooming, there seems to be a lot of noise.

UI - 10/10
I am always a great fan of ASUS UI. Simply at its best with no much bloatware.

Fast Charging - 10/10
From 10% to 90% of charging, it took me approx 60mins(<)

Processor - 10/10
Runs like a bullet train. Never ever seen such fast processing even in my S9+.

Audio - 10/10
ASUS is always good at its Audio over the years, now continuing the same.

Ear Phones - 10/10
They are like a real Pro earphones from ASUS. Companies like Oneplus who say they are premium smartphones is a good slap for them, because none of the smarphone ever becomes premium when it lags a Pro earphones. Music lovers can enjoy so much with earphones.

Heating - No Heating
Lagging - Zero Lagging

AI features - 9/10
I can't say 10 out of 10 as I am checking each every AI feature and using them. Hopefully it will satisfy me in all features.

Build Quality & Design- 10/10
When ASUS its a premium phone, it really is. Top notch build quality from ASUS,never ever seen before.

Security- 10/10
Just like in the launch event of ASUZ Zenfone 5Z, finger print lock and face unlock are at extremes.

Overall, I would like to say that for all the guys to leave china products like Oneplus and join Taiwanese products like ASUS. you will never ever get disappointed. With flat 3k discount with ICICI, getting a premium smartphone with all the features we need at 30k is flawless".

"Prashanth Leo" is starstruck by Zenfone 5Z photography and he considers that Zenfone Z5 beats OnePlus 6 in still photographs and video quality, here's what he has to say:

"I have Oneplus 6 and this is my comparison for people who are confused....

Display- Oneplus 6 blacks are good because of amoled but when it comes to punchier colours no doubt Asus has one of the best IPS panels.

Performance- Both are similar but Oneplus has a slight edge here because of oxygen os but Asus has come long way with loads of features and has little bugs hope they fix it through Fota.

camera- OMG!! this where I was shocked Asus beats Oneplus 6 in still photography and Oneplus 6 slightly better in terms of video quality.

Battery- Both are very similar in this aspect and will last you a entire day and Everyone knows of dash charging but Asus day charging is also very good.
speaker: Oneplus 6 no where in the picture, Asus with outdoor mode on is like a mini Bluetooth speaker wow!! hats off

On any day for the price Asus is offering with the discount I would blindly go for it.. no doubt
I personally like Meteor Silver".

Another certified buyer from Flipkart "Amitojdeep Singh"shares his honest views regarding Zenfone 5Z, here you go:

"I got my Zenfone 5Z on the release day itself and it's holding up great so far.
I am coming from a Pixel 2 XL which unfortunately got stolen and had Oneplus 3 and HTC M8 priorly.
Pros:
1. Snapdragon 845 and AI Boost for better RAM management
2. Accurate and adjustable Portrait mode - better than Oneplus 6
3. Low light camera is best in segment though not comparable to true flagships
4. Display is great
5. Dual speakers are pretty loud and crisp, though not stereo like the pricier Pixel 2XL
6. Solid build and free case, it's a bit easier to handle than Oneplus 6 and way better than Pixel
7. AI features are cool but I am yet to test them fully

Cons:
1. A bit of iPhone clone look which is both good and bad
2. Selfie camera is not a strength
3. No IP certification or even claimed splash resistance".

So, we've got the reactions from ZenFone 5Z buyers and looks like Asus has won the battle here. If it still doesn't convince you that Asus Zenfone 5Z is more worth buying Smartphone than OnePlus 6 then you either need a doctor or you need to look at the pricing of Asus Zenfone 5Z and then compare it with what OnePlus is giving you. This is clearly more than enough from Asus in 29,999 INR (438$). The 4th Quarter of 2018 is coming near to us and we've already got the speculated price, specifications and release date of OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7 which you might want to take a look at. Besides we've also thrown a Meme party celebrating Asus Zenfone 5Z's victory over OnePlus 6

The speculated specifications of Nokia X5 may include but not limited to a 5.86-inch 720p IPS notched display and reportedly the notch is bigger and the bezels are thicker as compared to Nokia X6. Technology is currently evolving at an exponential pace and so are the methods which we use to keep this technology secure and prevent its misuse. Therefore different types of security equipment's and paradigm’s have been presented before mankind including the ancient PIN protection, fingerprint detection and nowadays retinal scanners are the main focus. Back in the days, such types of security equipment's could only be seen in Hollywood Sci-Fi movies but the time has come now and fiction has transformed into reality.

These retinal scanners work by detecting the unique pattern present in a person’s retina thus allowing the administrators to access their confidential areas very securely. Most of the experts in the said area believe that retina scanners are not dangerous in any way; in fact the light from the scanner falling on our eyes is of the same intensity as used by the ophthalmologists when they perform an eye checkup. Retinal scanners are even used by experts for the monitoring of various diseases usually hereditary and communicable ones.

Besides that retinal scanners are gaining more popularity over the fingerprint sensors because of the fact that retinal pattern is the only thing that cannot be copied therefore retinal scanning is treated as the most secure security measure which is impossible to breach.

But it is essential to be aware of the fact that retinal scanners are not perfectly safe for frequent use. A report from the research conducted by SANS institute confirmed that the retinal scan users found this technology invasive and discomforting.  A psychological state of fear with no hard scientific basis has developed among its users and they are of the view that these scanners damage the vision. It’s also worth mentioning that iris scanners which work on the principle of recognizing the grayscale photo of the iris are much safer to use as compared to retinal scanners
